Violin and piano
Vienna 1784 - 1802 - 1827
With Frank Braley, piano
Three major works from the Viennese repertoire brought together in one programme : Mozart's Sonata K454, with its great density of writing, opens the trilogy of the last sonatas for violin and piano ; Schubert's Fantasy D934 is the last of his compositions for violin and piano, in which technical difficulty serves musical richness ; Beethoven's Op.30/2 reflects the heroic conflict between infirmity and youthful enthusiasm.
Mozart : Sonata K454
Schubert : Fantasy D934
Beethoven : Sonata No. 7 in C minor, Op. 30 No. 2
