Fantastic birds

With Grégoire Pont, Live Illustrator

Passionate about the great repertoire, illustrator Grégoire Pont has made a specialty of animating great works, both symphonic (Debussy, Prokofiev, Stravinsky, etc.) and operatic (Ravel, etc.), with his lively and playful pencil strokes. It is with undisguised joy that he devotes himself to accompanying Ravel's major works, such as "Mother Goose" and the sublime Trio in A Minor : a rich, lively, spiritual, and evocative piece of music, whose talented musicians of the Arcadis Trio "carve the lines and bring out all the poetry" (Resmusica).

This colorful concert, thanks to the lively projected illustrations, becomes a musical journey full of fantasy, a true musical and visual firework!

Two short pieces by the prolific French composer Mel Bonis evoke the proximity of her avant-garde writing to that of her mentor Fauré and Debussy.

Ravel: Ma Mère l’Oye / Mel Bonis: Soir et Matin / Ravel: Piano Trio

"With the Arcadis Trio, we are thrust into the colorful world of Maurice Ravel's sublime and swirling Trio in A minor. (...) The high-perched birds, as if sketched in chalk, become playful and playful in this fruitful dialogue between the arts whose simplicity and beauty touch the heart." (AFO)
